We all know that our coral reefs are in a critical state and that serious action needs to be taken. In December 2009 at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen delegates of 193 countries discuss how to face the threats of global climate change and how to reduce the CO2 emission before it is too late. What it means for our coral reefs if future action is not sufficient you can see in this impressive video podcast published by earth-touch.com : In 2065 a 15 year old girl gets a remain of coral as a present from her grandfather on a beach in Australia. She tells us what she learned about what happened and why coral reefs are extinct by then. To watch the video click on the link below: http://www.earth-touch.com/rss/?i=Marine-podcast-15-2009 |
